Nice to hear from you.

I am aware of Kiswahili, although I do not claim to be able to speak much of it. It does have many similarities and shares word with Luganda. In fact I was amused by how similar the Kiswahili and Luganda translations were on another translation project that I have been involved in :-D

Here in Uganda Luganda is much more heavily used in the Bantu speaking areas, although Kiswahili has been used by the army. Having heard some Tanzanian Kiswahili and learnt some words from a Kenyan freind from the coast, I don't think the kind of Kiswahili they use in our army would sound good to your ears though :-) It is really rough!
