Kyesatuza etymologically comes from the Luganda numeral “satu” (three). It means multiplying a number by itself three times. If the number 2 is multiplied by itself three times the resulting product (ekitondeko) is called kyesatuza. Watch this: 2 x 2x 2 = 8.
Eight is therefore a cube number which is ennamba ya kyesatuza in Luganda. The mathematical shape (enkula ey’ekibalo) formed looks like the cube above, which is kyesatuza.
